Report to Congress
Federal Highway Administration
Office of Safety

Description:  Draft Report to Congress on the Use of Uniformed Police Officers on Federal-Aid Highway Construction Projects (50 pages plus appendices)

Manifest's Role:  Congress mandated that a study be conducted regarding the use of uniformed police officers on Federal-Aid Highway Construction Projects. To comply with this mandate, the FHWA published a 20-question survey in the Federal Register and invited interested parties to respond to the survey questions or to submit general comments. We reviewed the 95 responses to the Federal Register notice, analyzed results, and wrote the Draft Report to Congress.
